We do surface preparation for coatings, remove coatings (acid stain, sealers, paint, epoxy, urethane, thinset, overlays, cool deck, etc), and polish concrete with or without color. We are able to handle floors from a few hundred square feet up to 60,000 square feet. Larger floors can be handled if the owner can either do the project in sections or can budget the needed time. Polished concrete floors are “green” floors, nothing new is being added into the environment; they are low maintenance floors, just damp mop with a ph neutral cleaner; they are high traction floors, rated and approved by the National Floor Safety Institute; they are USDA approved for use in food service applications; they offer greater reflectivity thereby reducing the lighting required; they can have color added to them in the polishing process; and, when these floors are produced, a hardener is applied to the floor making the floor harder, more dense, and yielding a better floor with a longer life. These floors can be repolished anytime; or, even better, during your routine maintenance, you can buff the floors with diamond embedded buffing pads to “pop” a shine on the floor. Remember, there is no coating on the floor, the sealing comes from the densifier reacting with the free lime in the floor and making the surface “tighter”, the sealing is in the floor, not on the floor; and, the shine comes from the polished concrete.
